Request Account / Data Deletion
Submit this form to request deletion of your Tabfare account and its data. You can also delete your account yourself in the app under Profile → Delete Account. If you only need specific data deleted (and not your entire account), select "Other" as your reason and describe what you'd like removed in the details field.
What happens next?
- You will receive a confirmation email at the address you provided.
- Our team will verify your identity and process your request within 1-3 business days.
- If we need more information, we will contact you at your email address.
- For full account deletion, your username is released and your account is hidden right away. The rest is kept for 7 days (or until the end of your paid subscription period, if later) so you can restore it by signing back in. After that, it is permanently deleted.
- For specific data deletion requests, we will remove only the data you specified.
What gets deleted with a full account deletion?
- Your profile and sign-in account
- Your receipts, bills, scanned images, PDFs, and payment proof (including bills you shared with others)
- Your share links, friends, friend requests, and pending invitations
- Your Spend Insights, preferences, and notification tokens
- Groups and trips you own pass to another member, or are deleted if no one else is left
What about my subscription?
- Google Play: we turn off auto-renewal when your account is deleted. You keep access until the paid period ends.
- Apple App Store: deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel it in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad.
What is kept after deletion?
- A deletion record and certificate with a one-way hash of your email, to prove we honored your request
- Your entries in other people's shared bills, shown as “Deleted user”, bill change-log entries with your name replaced by “Deleted user”, and messages you wrote in those bills
- Reports you filed, with your personal details removed (deleted within 12 months of filing)
- Security and admin audit logs, for up to 3 years
- Anything we must keep under a legal hold, until the hold ends
